The Leys School Summer School brings students aged 6–18 to one of Cambridge’s best-known independent boarding schools, a short walk from the city centre, the University’s colleges and the River Cam. For 2027, the campus runs four programmes: the Junior Camp for ages 6–11, English or Leadership for ages 11–17, and NxtGen for ages 16–18.
Students choose a morning course in English or Leadership, 15 hours a week, taught through story-based Missions (Mars, Outbreak and, new for 2027, Medieval) that build fluency, critical thinking, problem solving and communication. Afternoons are given to a specialism: Multi-Activity is included, or students can choose Intensive English or Art.
Beyond the classroom, students enjoy two full-day excursions a week, an overnight trip on every two-week stay and a full evening programme, living in the school’s boarding houses with 24/7 residential care.
The Leys School was founded in 1875 and sits on a green campus on the southern edge of central Cambridge. The University’s colleges, museums and riverside meadows are within walking distance, giving students a real sense of life in one of the world’s great university cities.
The campus combines historic buildings with modern teaching spaces, sports pitches and indoor sports facilities, music and art spaces, a dining hall and boarding houses with common rooms. Students live on site with full board and 24/7 residential care.
London Stansted is the nearest airport, and EDVISION clients receive a complimentary round-trip transfer.
