Description

Founded in 1509 by Dean John Colet, St Paul’s School is a highly selective independent school for boys aged 13–18, situated on a 43‑acre Thames-side site in Barnes, Greater London.

Academic Excellence
The school achieves outstanding academic results: GCSE results show 86% A* and 96.7% A*/A; A-Level: ~50% A* and 80% A*/A in recent years. A significant share of graduates proceed to Oxford, Cambridge, and leading global universities.

Boarding & Day Life
St Paul’s is primarily a day school, but from Year 9 offers full boarding, weekly boarding, and flexi-boarding (1–4 nights/week), all based in modern boarding houses with full pastoral care. Flexi-boarding is ideal for pupils needing shorter residential stays.

Co-curricular Programme
The school places strong emphasis on extracurricular life: over 100 clubs, majors in rowing (Princess Elizabeth Challenge Cup winners), rugby, combined cadet force, STEM activities, music, and drama en.wikipedia.org. The boat club achieved the “quadruple” and is considered one of the best junior rowing programmes.

Support for Pupils
Academic scholarships and means‑tested bursaries are available. EAL support is offered to international students, and pastoral programmes ensure emotional and personal development.
