The University of Oxford is located in the town of Oxford. Not only is it the oldest university in the English-speaking world, but it is also the second-oldest institution of higher education still in existence. Teaching began in Oxford as early as 1096. The university enjoys a prestigious academic standing and wields extensive influence in mathematics, physics, medicine, law, and the humanities, and it is widely acknowledged as one of the world’s leading higher education institutions. Over its nine centuries of history, it has nurtured numerous trailblazing scientists, artistic masters, and heads of state, including 30 British prime ministers and multiple heads of state and business leaders worldwide. In terms of honors, the university’s alumni include 56 Nobel Prize winners, 4 Fields Medal winners, and 6 Turing Award winners.

St Hilda’s College was founded in 1893 and was originally the last women’s college at Oxford. It is located at the far end of Oxford’s historic High Street, beyond Magdalen Bridge. From the college’s beautiful riverside gardens and lawns, one can overlook Oxford’s city center near St Hilda’s Cathedral. St Hilda’s places great emphasis on scholarships and academics, providing students with a relaxed living environment. Its library is one of the most well-stocked among Oxford’s colleges. St. Hilda’s is also home to the Jacqueline du Pre Music Building, one of Oxford’s most vibrant music venues.
