Cranbrook School is located in the charming town of Cranbrook, Kent. It is one of the few public boarding schools in the UK.
Established in 1518, the school was granted a Royal Charter by Queen Elizabeth I in 1574 and has since grown into a vibrant grammar school. Currently, it has around 700 students, with 250 boarders, and spans 75 acres in the heart of the Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Despite being a public school, Cranbrook offers excellent facilities, including a professional performing arts center, Queen’s Hall Theatre, a large library, a sports hall, Astro pitch, an outdoor swimming pool, a CCF shooting range, and the Sellers Observatory.
Cranbrook is approximately 1.5 hours from London by car and is conveniently situated between Tunbridge Wells and Ashford, making travel to major London airports easy.
